Founder, CEO of Kyushospace.com

About me:
I am the Founder and CEO of Kyushospace.com, which is very posh for saying that I fix all the problems that you might have with anything on the site. So, I am here to help, please send me a message if you need any help.

I am British, but living in Boston. I have been studying martial arts for over 20 years, starting with Tae Kwon Do in UK, under TAGB, my instructors were both European Champions and I really enjoyed sparring, but that was when I was young ;-). I even taught Tae Kwon Do at business school. After that due to my travels I have tried and enjoyed Wu Shu, Karate, more Tae Kwon Do (WTF and TAGB), full contact where I got my black belt in 1992, (then I kind of gave up on belts but not skills), Tai Chi, Tang Soo Do, Aikido, Ju Jitsu (trained with Boston police), Karate again.

Presently I train under Asa Seeley in Karate and Kyusho International, level 6.

I never realised what I was missing until I found out about Kyusho from George Dillman initially. When I met Evan Pantazzi and Asa Seeley and started to follow the KI curriculum I realised I could learn this skill in an organised way and I have been enjoying it ever since.

I went to some KI seminars and made some great friends and thought wouldn't it be great to stay in touch with my new friends.
So, I decided to build Kyushospace.com. It has been a long project but it is finally here. I hope you will all enjoy it as much as I will. I look forward to your feedback on the site and how we can improve it. We will build more functionality throughout this year.

Invite your friends.

Thank you for going through all the headaches and hard work you do to keep this site up and going. We had a technical issue this weekend, and you could have just walked away from it and focus more on your job, but thanks to your special dedication to kyusho, you were able to keep this up and going. Thank You!

THANK YOU FOR ENQUIRING ABOUT ME, I HAVE BEEN BUSY WITH MY DANCE SCHOOL, I APRECIATE YOU CHECKING IN WITH ME, THE SCHOOL IS A REAL CHALLENGE FOR ME, STUDENTS COME AND THEN THEY GO, SOME HAVE DICIPLINE, AND SOME DONT CARE, ITS FRUSTRATING AT TIMES, SOMETIMES I THINK IT WOULD BE BETTER IF I JUST OPENED A KARATE SCHOOL HERE, BUT I DONT HAVE ENOUGH TRAINING TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN, BUT MAYBE A INSTRUCTOR FROM ANOTHER SCHOOL COULD COME DOWN AND TEACH HERE IN ABILENE, AND THEY CAN USE MY SCHOOL TO TEACH, I NEED TO STAY POSITIVE THIS AREA , HAS VERY LITTLE TEACHERS, TO LEARN FROM, WHICH IS FRUSTRATING AT BEST, ANYWAY THANKS FOR ASKING ABOUT ME SORRY I HAVENT BEEN ON IN SUCH A LONG TIME , I THINK YOUR SITE , AND YOUR SPACE IS UNBELIEVABLE, AND THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE ON IT ARE REAL SUPERNATURAL FIGHTERS TO THE HIGHEST DEGREE, I AM TRUELY IMPRESSED THANKS AGAIN JADE AMAZON AKA SUZIE

The blow to the heart isn't exactly a "pressure point". It's a strike to the same spot that paramedics compress when administering CPR. It's causing shock to the heart rather than short circuiting nerves. But I suppose it all depends on what we're considering a pressure point.

The 155 pounder at the USOEC looks like he should be a 180-200 pounder! He has huge bulging muscles, but that's what the Greco guys do! Especially the darn Olympic hopefuls. Sheesh! Yea, I don't really lose weight so much as I cut weight. I drink a gallon of water a day during the week of, that decreases the production of ADH (Anti-diarehtic hormone) so you'll start going to the bathroom more. Then in the last day or so I'll do it the old fashion was with ten pairs of clothes on an a sweat suit. It's not the healthiest way, but it gets the job done quickly.

Thank you for this wonderful site, Jamie. I am looking forward to making many new acquaintances here and being able to talk shop with them. No matter their prefered system, I think there will be plenty to discuss, much advice to refer to, and so many profound words of wisdom. Osu!

Jens seems like a crazy guy, but he knows his stuff for sure. BJ Penn is also a guy I look up to. He's a miraculous fighter. I'll send the guys a link here for sure. I like what you're doing. Through things like this is how martial arts may evolve, just like culture through the sharing of knowledge and techinques. It's a great place.

Hello! Wonderful site you have going here! It's nice to find a place where people are open to discussion about the martial arts and aren't set in the way of "My art is better than your art". Keep it up! --Bruce
